Tone
In this lesson I took pictures in order to show tone in photography. To improve my tone pictures I would put more thought into what I photograph in order to show tone. I didn't really understand what aspects would affect the tone in the photo.
This photo is an effective tone photo because the is a range of dark tones on the gravel. I would crop out the building as this shows less tone and this would make it more obvious that tone is the reason for the photo.
This is an effective tone picture because the blank light tone shown in the sky creates a good background for the darker tones of the tree to be shown on. The silhouette of the tree has a dark tone.
This photograph only really shows one dark tone as the leaves all have a very similar tone and there is not much background in the photo creating a bland photograph.
