The tree bark in this photograph shows a rough texture in all of the deep cracks and holes in the tree. The photo shows the old age of the trees.










The photograph shows the texture in the leaf. It very focused showing all of the complex lines in the leaf.

The crocodiles scales show texture through all of the cracks and shapes in the skin. This photograph makes the creature seem old and jurassic.









The texture of the rope is shown by the different levels that they take and making an uneven texture. This photo also makes a pattern as the rope weaves in and out of each other.









The uneven surface shown in this photo shows the texture. The bumps and lumps show how the texture would not be smooth.

 The uneven surface with holes and crevasses shows the texture to be rough and course. The photograph also shows the ageing of the wood through the knots and colouring.

 Reflection is shown in this image in the river accentuating the large area of land. The woods and mountains are reflected perfectly and are almost as clear as the non reflection.

 The reflection of the bird in the water is distorted showing the movement and life within the bird.

This photograph is very effective because the still water would contrasts with the busy life taking place in the buildings and city that is shown. The water makes the refection very beautiful because the buildings remain in quite good focus but the lights are slightly distorted.

 The reflection of the balloons in the water makes this a very effective picture. Seeing the balloons twice emphasises the beauty and brightness of them. Its almost as if there is another life within the water.

The reflection of the horses in the water shows there majesticness as you can see the broad, confident stature. The reflection makes it difficult to define where the sky ends and the ground starts.

The reflection of the trees in this photo creates a parallel universe in the water and if you were to rotate the photo it would not be clear which is the correct way up creating an illusion.

This photo shows the boat through tone as the boat is the darkest tone in the photograph. The boat is also reflected onto the water in a darker tone.

The clouds in this photograph show a lot of dark and light tones showing the weather. The dark tones show the bad weather and make the picture quite dull

The dark tones in this photograph show the weather to be bad but the light tones in the sky suggest the sun is trying to shine through. The darker tones outline the pier in the photo.

The sea and sky is a very dark tone suggesting bad weather and negativity. The cliffs are a lighter tone so that they can be seen in the photograph.

The background of this image is quite a dark tone so that the hands stand out against it.

The shape of the circles is repeated all over the table making this the central focus point of the photograph. The salt and pepper pots are of centre and the strong unmissable shapes take the focus away from them.

In this photograph the circle shape and the heart are very prominent and are directly in the centre of the photo. The heart is filled with pink making it even more eye catching and obvious.

The spiral stair case creates a perfect circular shape as it spirals upwards. The banister of the stairs makes the shape more interesting and eye catching.

The necks of these swans creates a discrete heart shape between them just off centre of the photo. The discreteness of the shape makes this photo effective and different to the others as the shapes are very obvious.

The shape of the heart in this photograph is very obvious and it seems likely that it is edited and not a natural occurrence. The heart is central and the bright blue sky is framed by the clouds and this creates a very happy, positive photograph.

The circles in this photograph stand out on the photo and the dark colours and fact it appears to be raining makes this a very negative photo. The different size circles in the photo create quite an interesting effect.

Image Bank: Depth

This photo shows depth in the way that at the photo gets further back it goes out of focus. This creates an enigma with in the photo as its not clear what lies within the woods. The leaves on the ground create a feeling of autumn and the camera being on the ground makes the photograph interesting to the eye.

The bright red car at the front is in full focus and is central of the picture. The yellow car is a little less in focus showing it to be slightly further back. It is also less central than the red car. The green car is the furthest back and is the least in focus and least central. This gives depth to the photo due to the distancing between the cars.

This photo shows depth as it focuses on one bulb in particular while the rest out of focus. This suggests that the others are further back and are of less interest due to the blurring of them.

This photo shows depth as the front elephant is far more obviously shown, compared to the other elephants who are of centre and blurred out by a sort of mist. This photo also shows depth by the vast horizon with nothing in it.

This photo shows depth by the camera being focused on the dandelion and the background and foreground being out of focus. This photo is effective because it creates a feeling of summer which is a positive fun time.

This Photo shows depth by the foreground being in focus and the background is totally out of focus. This suggests that the background is of no interest or importance.  The buttercup is not placed central so this prevents the photo being to obvious and standard.

This zebra pattern is made up of the repetition of black and white stripes. They are not all exactly the same shape but they still create a very eye-catching desirable pattern. This photograph is very clear and the lines are very defined creating a very effective photo.

This pattern is made up of tiny beige diamond shapes creating larger diamond shapes and then outlined with brown diamond shapes creating a very defined pattern. The photo is very close up and detailed yet very much still in focus creating another really effective photo.

This pattern appears to be made up of the ground cracking in all different sizes and shapes. This photo shows the vastness and emptiness of the dessert. The bright vibrant sky contrasted with the sand pattern makes a very clever eye catching photo.

This pattern is created by the camera being up close to the fence with the sea and sunset behind it creating a very effective pattern. The sun is centred perfectly in the centre of the centre diamond making the rest of the photo frame it. The fence is a very bold black colour so the pattern is very visible within the photograph.

This pattern is made up of the bright and vibrant colourings in the feathers. The close up focus on this section creates a good photo. Although each feather has an individual pattern on it they all fit together to make another bright pattern.

This pattern is made up of the petals fitting together to make the flower. As the petals get closer to the middle they get tighter and more more closed. The fact that this photo is very close into the flower it makes it different to other floral photography.

The different bright colours in this photo can clearly be seen on the dull background. The ducks are just below the centre line going across the photo vertically making them the main object in the photo.

The bright neon green contrasts with the purity of the baby and the pale skin. The pale pasty skin of the baby also makes the bright blue eyes and red lips stand out as eye catching features of the photo. The contrast of the naturalness of the baby and the man made brightly coloured clothing of the baby make this a very effective photograph.

The streets, sky and people have all been edited to a very dull black and grey colour in order to emphasise the colours of the houses. The contrast of different bright colours each house makes the next one stand out.

The use of many different colours in this photograph create a magical, unrealistic fairytale feeling. The picture really catches the eye and is very effective.

The colour in this photograph creates a feeling of childhood through the balloons and there bright colours. The sky is also a very positive bright colour blue making the photo very positive and happy.

The streets and houses in this photograph are very dull and bland, this has been change with the bright colours in the graffiti and changes the impression you get from the location. The eye is instantly drawn to the wall but when you look closely a cyclist wearing a bright red coat can also be seen within the dingy streets.
