The light casting the shadows through the windows of the building show that it has a physical form and structure a there is a shadow because the light cannot shine through the form of the building.

In this image the glass is reflecting the surrounding's  making is seem as if it is in the glass. The glass in central in the photograph making it the main focus point ing the picture.

 This photograph shows the reflection of the bird taking flight in the water. The line between the ground and the sky is not very obvious but theres is a very effective photo.

 The reflection in this picture shows the full body of the girl which is cut of the top of the picture. This picture has an element of horror as the girls facial features are not clear and she is walking along train tracks which is a very dangerous thing to do.

The reflection on the water emphasises the hight and area of the mountain and makes a very pretty picture.

Definition: Depth

Dictionary definition

The distance from the top or surface of something to its bottom.

Distance from the nearest to the farthest point of something or from the front to the back.

Depth is shown in this picture by the bottles becoming in less focus as they go further back.

Depth is shown in the photograph by the boats at the front being very clear and in focus, as the photo goes further back the focus becomes less focussed.

 Depth is shown in this photograph by the path getting smaller the further back the photo goes, also the photos gets less and less out of focus as the photograph goes back. Also the size of the background houses compared to the foreground shows the depth.

The front car in this photograph is in focus, as the cars go back the focus becomes less clear showing the depth.

My definition of depth is the length from the front to back. The foreground to the background. The distance from the front object to the back object.

The spiral stair case creates a tear drop shape slightly off of the centre of the photograph. This is making the shape the main point of view in the image.

The pages in the book in this photograph create the shape of a heart, this shape is then reinforced by the bright pink colouring in the centre of the heart. The heart is very central making it the main view point of the picture.

The shape of the star in this photograph is almost centred in the picture. The shape is very clear as are all of the points as there is a fairly plain background contrasting with the colour of the star.

The shape of the heart in this photograph is in the centre so that it is the obvious focus point of the picture.

 Black and White lines are repeated in order to create this zebras pattern.

 This pattern is made up of the repeated yellow petals, as the petals get closer to the middle they get smaller and closer together.

The irregular black broken circle shapes are repeated on this beige  colour in order to create this animal pattern.

This pattern is made up of the repeated green ball. The red one appears to break the pattern although this could be a regular thing when the photo is viewed from further away.

 The colour in this photo is in the background, it is very bright and this is a contrast compared to the bike which appears to be the centre of the photo.

This photograph has a contrast of very bright colours. The background of the photo is very dull emphasising that the main point of focus is the dresses, tights and shoes.

 The colour in this photograph is very bright and it is clear that the houses are the intended main point of focus. In contrast to this the cars and road are very dull colours emphasising the brightness of the other colours.

The background of this photograph has been edited to be grey, this then brings the eye to the main point of focus which is the sweets.

Colour can be bright and vibrant in order to attract the eye. It is many shades and there is no limit to the range of colours.

This image uses blurring in order to emphasize speed. The background is totally blurry but the dog is slightly more in focus, this shows that the dog is the main veiwing point in the picture.

 In this image the seat and the teddy bear are in focus and the background is out of focus. This shows that either the teddy is stationary and the background is moving around it or the background is stationary and the bear is moving but the camera is moving as the bear does. Becaus this image is very blurred this tells us that the movement is very fast and is distorting the rest of the image.

 This image is taken from afar, the vehicles in the picture are blurred in order to emphasize the movement and speed. This also shows how the city is full of movement but the buildings are stationary.

The background of this image is blurred showing the movement and speed of the car. The car is more in focus than the rest of the picture suggesting that the camera is moving in line with the car.

 

My definition

Blurring is when a photo is out of focus to achieve a particular effect. For example speed. In blurred photos you can usually see what the picture is of but some will be distorted.

 The lines that feature in this photo are strait, and curved. The railway track and station is made up of many lines all joined together creating the picture. The roof of the station is made up of regular curved lines creating an arched effect.

 This photograph features mostly curved lines. The road is very wavy which is not typically how a road would be photographed. The yellow line in the centre of the road exentuates curves of the road and also show that the road curves upwards as a hill as well as round bends.

 This photo features strait lines going diagonaly and vertically within these lines smaller horizontal lines can be seen adding detail to the photograph.

This photograph shows strait lines going diagonally and creating parralel lines. The windmill is also made up of strait lines going diagonally.

Lines can be strait, curved, diagonal etc. They feature everywhere and come in all shapes and sizes.
